Marian Buda - Senior Partner | Judicial Strategy Lead
Lawyer and former judge of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, with over 30 years of experience at the highest level of Romania's judicial system.
Former President of the Superior Council of Magistracy and former President of the 2nd Civil Section of the HCCJ.
Marian played a central role in coordinating court activity, unifying judicial practice at national level, and contributed to the institutional reforms underlying the lifting of the EU's Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM) for Romania.
At Buda Partners, he leads judicial strategy in high-stakes litigation and provides senior oversight on complex disputes.

Business lawyer, dealmaker and specialist in fund structuring. Over 15 years of complex transactions at the intersection of law, capital markets and private equity - from practice at Clifford Chance Badea to legal and business development management within the Roca / Impetum Group private equity platform.
Full transaction cycle coverage: M&A and leveraged buyouts, private credit and fund structuring, defence in competition and energy regulatory investigations, capital market listings and cross-border investment vehicles.
His clients have included E.ON Group, Cargus / Abris Capital Partners, Electrica, Cora Romania, Mondelez / Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Sodexo and 7Card.
